The Government has announced today (20th November 2020) that all patients aged between 50-64 years will be eligible from the 1st of December for an influenza vaccine.  The practices across the East Cornwall Primary Care Network ask all patients who are interested in receiving an influenza vaccine who are NOT already in an at-risk group (and already eligible for a free NHS flu vaccine), to wait to hear from your practice before you call to make an appointment for a free flu jab.

Please be aware so far, no additional influenza vaccines have been made available to order for the 50-64 years patients (NOT already in at risk group), and all of our practices, within the East Cornwall Primary Care Network remain focused  on vaccinating the high-risk patients.

Once we have been able to secure the influenza vaccination stocks which can be used for this 50-64 age group (NOT already in at risk group), we will organise additional flu vaccination clinics to vaccinate as many our patients as we can. Please look out on our Facebook page as we will place news of the available clinic dates on all of our sites, once they are organised.

In the meantime, we urge all those patients who are currently eligible for a flu vaccine to book with your practice to receive an influenza vaccine!
